David Dwyer earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut (UConn) in 1985, and his J.D. from Western New England College (now Western New England University) School of Law, located in Springfield, Massachusetts, in 1991. He graduated from law school with Honors.
Mr. Dwyer’s legal career began in Connecticut, then he relocated to Tucson in 1997. While in Connecticut, he spent most of his career as a Trial Attorney for Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co. Mr. Dwyer has been representing plaintiffs since he moved to Tucson in 1997. He has tried over 60 jury trials across his time in Connecticut and Arizona, litigated to conclusion even more arbitrations, and has served as an arbitrator and mediator in several cases for other lawyers and parties. He has presented and participated in seminars and forum discussions on the Civil Litigation Process, “Tort Reform,” Arbitrations, Discovery in Civil Cases, Expert Witnesses and Witness Preparation, Trial Preparation, the Mechanics of a Civil Jury Trial, and numerous other topics concerning civil litigation.
He is a member of the Arizona Association for Justice/Arizona Trial Lawyers Association (AAJ/AzTLA) and formerly sat on the AAJ/AzTLA Board of Directors. He has served as Chairperson of the Pima County Bar Association’s Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Committee, and served for six years as an active member of the Pima County Bar Association’s Board of Directors. He is a member of the Arizona State Bar Association, Pima County Bar Association, Connecticut State Bar Association, and the federal bar in the districts of Arizona and Connecticut.
In his free time, he likes to spend time with his children, including coaching Little League and attending his children’s sporting events and activities. He also enjoys bicycle riding, weight-lifting, hiking/backpacking, physical fitness, and home improvement projects.
